Insurance

Churches and other QB affiliates should be aware of the upcoming changes to the way Baptist Insurance Services Ltd (BIS) will provide insurance and protection after 30 September 2023.

A copy of the 27 July 2023 communication from BIS appears below.

One of the results of these changes is that BIS will be sending each church or QB affiliate the invoice for your premium and contribution directly. You will then need to contact Baplink and provide a copy of that invoice should you wish Baplink to finance the payment via your S5 account.

Baplink should be contacted using the email address baplink@baplink.org.au. We will then send a direct debit form to complete. Once the authorised direct debit form is completed and returned to Baplink, Baplink will pay the premium under advice to BIS.

Baptist Insurance Services (BIS) will commence our Discretionary Mutual Fund (DMF) from the coming renewal date of 30/09/2023.  Please see the communication sent to you on the 27/07/2023 for more details.  At this stage, Property cover will be incorporated into the DMF, and the remaining insurance classes in our program will continue to be provided by an insurance company.  For your church or organisation to continue receiving protection and insurance from BIS, you must sign up to be a member of the DMF.  Member agreements will be issued in September and will be issued using Docusign (electronic contract signing software).  Please ensure you check your inbox and junk mail and contact BIS if you do not receive it.  For constituents who do not wish to be part of the DMF, BIS will be unable to provide you with cover from the renewal date.

You can find further information about our DMF within our member portal.  The username and password have previously been sent to you – please keep these confidential. The link to the member portal is below.
